Determined by the nature and location of Jardin C in the heart of the Ile de Nantes, Fence 1 looks like an envelope, a surface made up of the repetition of the same module. The fence obstructs, sometimes communicates on what it obstructs but very concretely delimits and isolates. Fence 1 plays on the qualities of such a construction to accentuate the specific character of the place, of this garden, a veritable artificial wasteland, all at once illusoryly neglected and in chronic transformation. Through the rigorous frontality of this series of screens spaced from each other, the construction signals a territory, invites you to project yourself into it while making the initial free movement impossible.
