Axe-Ohm

After an edition in the courtyard of the Hotel Goüin, the collective of sound artists, Alma Fury installs a habitat – sound in the garden of the Museum of Fine Arts in Tours, for an invitation to a new experience of singular listening.
This year, they invite the visual artist Bernard Calet (whose work deals with the notion of space and movement) to think, in collaboration, the listening module.

The relationships between sound, landscape and shelter, their interactions and interdependencies were the axes of their research, namely
Axe – Ohm

The sound material comes from information of an invisible light nature, electromagnetic waves … translated into sound by astrophysicists, Philippe Zarka & Ismaël Cognard (researchers at the CNRS and partners in this project), stellar vibrations, recordings of ” WAVES from terrestrial natural environments
(among others in situ), as well as electronic sounds made up of simple sound forms, close to the sounds of our daily ELECTRONIC ENVIRONMENT.
